Our due date, 8/24/2011, is exactly five years from the day that Adam asked me to marry him (8/24/2006). Can I get an amen?
I don't know how I managed to miss that for a good solid week, but when it hit me today I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I thanked God for his incredible faithfulness. Seriously. How cool is that? All my silly little plans, all my prayers that started with "you know God, this would be a GREAT month for a baby, because nine months from now is...." and now this. I couldn't have picked a more perfect day to welcome a baby into the world, and of course, God knew that all along. He has (again) revealed His sovereignty and faithfulness in my life. What a mighty God we serve!!!

Hi my name is Rachel and I just started following your blog. (I like to introduce myself so maybe it doesn't seem like a complete crazy stranger is reading all of your thoughts).
I just wanted to say, this post made me mile. You have gotten 1 or 2 (we are praying for 2) gifts twice over! Once for Christmas (getting pregnant this close to Christmas counts as a gift in my eyes) and again on your engagement anniversary. What a story to tell!
