Welcome to our blog!

If you're visiting for the first time, you may want to start
here.

My husband and I will celebrate six years of marriage on July 8, 2013, and after a lot of praying, hoping and dreaming, we welcomed our first baby boy into the world on August 18, 2011. About a year later, we were blessed with a second pregnancy and welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world on March 22, 2013.

Today, we're just doing life. Trying our best to live each day with intention and purpose while keeping our eyes fixed firmly on our Creator.

God has blessed us more richly than we could ever have imagined, and in all things,
His grace has fallen like rain on our life together.

We couldn't ask for more.

"But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

2 Corinthians 12:9
This was my "verse of the day" on my cell phone yesterday, and it stuck with me all day long.  The first part of the verse is often quoted and is one I committed to memory at a young age, but the second part (therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power my rest on me) isn't so well know.  I love it.  I kept reading it all day long, smiling to myself and praising God for the reminder to live a life of humility--aware of my own personal shortcomings and striving each and every day to make sure that my life points back to Him.  It's not about me.  I don't have to pretend to be anything I'm not.  I'm human--I'm weak.  But in that weakness, there is incredible strength....

Just food for thought :)
We are heading back up to OHSU tomorrow.  Last time for the month (for real this time, ha).  We ask for prayers not only for our 8:30AM appointment, but for the days and weeks to follow....we're praying for a baby with a May 2011 birthday!
