Today I am praising God for the simple things. Heartfelt conversations with the man I love, sunny days that fill me with joy, and the sweet anticipation of a future I know He holds in His hands.
I've been listening to Sidewalk Prophet's The Words I Would Say a LOT recently. I don't know why, but the lyrics speak to my heart. From the very first time I heard it, I claimed those lyrics for the babies I have yet to meet. What an awesome promise, and a message of unwavering and unconditional love. I guess I have babies on the brain (and no, I am not making some sort of covert attempt to announce anything...ha!)
I guess I've just been struck recently by the absolute beauty of life. Blessing abound, and the older I get, the more appreciative I am of the life that has been given to me. God is so good! I need to remember to praise Him during every season of life. What a good reminder.
Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to:
For Valentine's Day, we went to the beach for the weekend.
The surf was amazing, we'd never seen anything like it! Sunday morning, we went for a drive along the coast and stopped in Newport to look at the water.
As we walked, we got completely sprayed by a wave that came over the bluff. I got wet.
We had a ton of fun! It was so nice to get away and enjoy time together. Even though we'll both be turning 25 this year, I feel like I'm still 21 and newly engaged to the man of my dreams. Time really flies. What a blessing that I have 50+ more years to look forward to walking through life hand in hand with this guy God has gifted me....I'm loving every minute.
Shortly after that, I got together with a few of my wonderful friends--who happen to work with me...did I mention God is good??--and filmed an a-mazing rap video for a reading promotion at school.
Mrs. D-bizzle and Mrs. B-dizzle :)
And here's the whole gang: Mrs. D-bizzle, Mrs. A-izzle, and Mrs. B-dizzle. Who says teachers aren't cool?! Obviously they never went to Sumpter :)
It was a lot of fun :)
The last piece of big news in our life is the new four-wheeled addition to the family we're expecting in the next few months.
Ever since the day we met five years ago, Adam has been talking about a truck. He's always wanted one. And, it's time. The Explorer, while we have loved and enjoyed it during the time it's been part of our lives, needs to go.
Ideally, Adam wants one of these:
We test drove a few today. Definitely love them :) The four door is my requirement, so it can be a long-term family car. We're hopeful one of these will be coming to live with us in the next few months, and when it does, of course I will post pictures!!!!
